Research and Policy Unit
The Research and Policy Unit (RPU) seeks to identify the extent to which Muslims in all spheres of life are both benefiting from, and contributing to British society. Where necessary, we highlight the failings of government and civil society to challenge Islamist extremism, and suggest ways of strengthening liberal democracy. By generating evidence-based research and new thinking on policy issues, we aim to generate debate and help facilitate Muslim integration for the betterment of society as a whole.
We work closely with other think tanks, research institutes, academics, grass-roots organizations and government departments to ensure that our research projects add to rather than duplicate others’ efforts. We also have a wide network of community-level contacts that we source for direction and input into our research.
