Internship

Quilliam seeks a high-skilled interns with proficiency into assist with conducting research, writing reports and news briefs, editing, proof reading, and some administrative tasks. 

 

A successful candidate must have:

  • An interest in and an awareness of Islam and Islamism
  • Interest in issues relating to Muslim communities in Britain and/or elsewhere
  • Degree-level education in a social or political science subject, Islamic Studies, or Area Studies
  • Experience of working in a research-based environment
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Excellent presentation

Desirable skills include:

  • IT proficiency
  • A South Asian or Middle Eastern language proficiency
  • A Masters degree

 

The internship will last for 2-3 months and be in our London office.


The position is ideal for those candidates wishing to obtain sustained experience of working in a professional research and policy making think tank environment.


The position is unpaid. However, travel expenses (London zones 1-6) will be reimbursed and a lunch allowance provided.

We are also seeking a Pakistan Project intern

Successful applicants will have:

  • Bachelors level qualificiation in related field
  • Outstanding educational background with a track record of exceptional achievements
  • Front line communications and media experience
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal
  • A knowledge of the South Asian region in general, with particular focus on Pakistan
  • Ability to contribute to a team effort in a fast moving dynamic environment
  • Understanding of Urdu language is preferred, but not essential
  • strong commitment to and understanding of the aims of Quilliam
  •   A willingness to work flexibly and be responsive to the 24-hour news agenda
