On 25th September 2008 a special event will be hosted by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation in Los Angeles. September 25th 2008 is a day of great significance across the world for the Millennium Development Goals, and the day the United Nations has designated as the midway point for achieving the goals by 2015.
To commemorate and join with others working towards the Goals on this day, the event will be about the positive contribution that young people of all faiths are making, and that they can make together, towards achieving those common goals.
On the panel will be Tony Blair, former Prime Minister and founder of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation; Hamza Yusuf, a significant and influential Islamic scholar; and Saleemah Abdul-Ghafur, of Malaria No More and an activist for Muslim women and Islam in the West. The event will be hosted by broadcaster and founder of politicsandthecity.com, June Sarpong.
